About Portland Personal Training
- What Is Personal Training?
Personal training is a professional service that provides clients with customized fitness guidance and coaching to help them reach their health and fitness goals. This can include creating a personalized exercise plan, providing nutritional advice, and monitoring progress. A personal trainer works one-on-one with clients to help them maximize their workouts, improve their form, and stay motivated. Personal training can be an effective way to achieve weight loss, increase muscle mass, improve flexibility, and boost overall health and well-being.
- What Do Personal Trainers Do
At Lloyd Personal Training, personal trainers are fitness professionals who provide individualized training to help their clients reach their fitness goals. They begin by evaluating their clients’ current fitness level, health history, and lifestyle factors that could impact their training. From there, personal trainers design a customized exercise plan that takes into account their clients’ goals, preferences, and any limitations or injuries. During training sessions, personal trainers guide their clients through each exercise, correcting their form and providing motivation to ensure proper technique and prevent injury. They also track their clients’ progress and adjust their training plan to keep them challenged and on track. Furthermore, personal trainers often provide advice on nutrition and lifestyle changes to support their clients’ overall health and fitness. Overall, personal trainers are essential partners for individuals looking to improve their fitness, reach their goals, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
We are loving the Lloyd Athletic Club and our trainer, Chase Mancia. It’s been a long time since going to a gym and everyone has been very welcoming. I highly recommend Chase if looking for a personalized program. She keys into your goals and provides the tools and knowledge to get you on the right path.
- What Are Some Benefits of Personal Training?
- Motivation: Personal trainers provide the motivation you need to stay focused and committed to your fitness goals. They offer support and encouragement, helping you stay on track even when you feel like giving up.
- Variety: Personal trainers can incorporate a variety of exercises and techniques into your workout plan, keeping your workouts interesting and challenging. This variety can help prevent boredom and keep you engaged in your fitness routine.
- Injury Prevention: Personal trainers can help prevent injuries by teaching you proper form and technique, and by designing a workout plan that takes into account any existing injuries or limitations. They can also provide modifications to exercises to accommodate any injuries or limitations.
- Efficiency: Personal training is an efficient way to achieve your fitness goals. Your personal trainer will design a workout plan that is tailored to your needs, helping you make progress faster than if you were working out on your own.
- How Often Should I Train With A Personal Trainer?
Personal training can be an effective way to reach your fitness goals, but it’s important to understand how often you should be training to maximize your results.
If you’re just starting out with personal training, two sessions per week are typically recommended. This frequency allows you to build a solid foundation of strength and endurance while allowing for sufficient recovery time between sessions. As you progress, you can increase your frequency to three to four sessions per week to continue to challenge your body and achieve greater results.
It’s important to note that training frequency alone won’t guarantee results – it’s also important to focus on other aspects of your training such as nutrition, recovery, and consistency. Working with a personal trainer can help you optimize all aspects of your training and achieve your goals more efficiently.
Ultimately, the key to maximizing your results with personal training is to find the right balance of frequency, intensity, and consistency. Consult with a personal trainer to develop a personalized training plan that takes into account your individual goals, fitness level, and lifestyle.
I’ve been training with Chase at the Lloyd Athletic Club for over 2 months and she has been incredible. I’ve had a hard time getting back into shape after cancer treatments, and Chase has been so helpful. She’s knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. I have already made a ton of progress and am feeling stronger and healthier. The gym itself is great. It feels really welcoming and well-equipped.

Such a great gym. Great equipment and a nice gym setup. Older feel to the gym but feels more personable. You don’t have to worry about someone trying to sell you on training every time you walk through the door. No gym bros and a very friendly staff. Normal membership pricing, lots of racket ball courts. They also have some beers on tap 🙂
